What is MCP? A plain-English explanation
A common plug that lets the AI you already use read real data out of a tool, so you stop copying and pasting.
MCP is short for Model Context Protocol. It is a shared way for an AI to ask a tool for information, and the easiest way to picture it is a plug that fits every socket. Your AI reaches into the tool, reads what is in there, and answers you from that.
Why it matters for content
An AI with an empty text box knows nothing about you, which is why what comes out sounds like it was written for everybody. Give the same AI your real numbers and your real posts and the answers stop being guesses.
What it looks like in practice
You ask your own Claude or ChatGPT something like what worked for the people ahead of me this week, and it goes and reads the answer before it writes a word. You stay in the app you already pay for and the information comes to you.
