What are content pillars? And how to pick yours

The three to five topics you post about again and again, so people know what you stand for.

Content pillars are the handful of topics you return to week after week. They give your feed a shape, so a stranger can scroll it and say what you're about in one sentence.

How many

Three to five is plenty. One is too narrow to keep going, and ten makes you look like you post about whatever crossed your mind.

How to pick them

Start where three things meet: what you know well, what your buyers care about, and what's already pulling people in for others in your space. That last part is easy to check. Look at which posts beat their own usual for the people you follow, and group them by topic.

Keeping them fresh

A pillar is a topic, never a single post format. Mix stories, lessons, opinions and how-tos inside each one. If you're stuck, what to post when you have nothing to say has a list of starting points.
