What is a content calendar? And how to keep one you'll stick to

A plan of what you'll post and when, across the platforms you use.

A content calendar is where your posts live before they go out: what you'll post, on which platform, on which day. It turns "I should post more" into a plan.

Why it helps

Deciding what to post on the day is the moment most people give up. With a calendar, the deciding happens once a week, and posting is just doing what's already planned.

Keep it light

Plan a week at a time. Fill it in one sitting, leave room to move a post when something better comes up, and don't plan further than you'll actually stick to. Our guide to a content system you'll stick to has the routine.

One calendar, every platform

If you post on more than one platform, keep them on one calendar so you can see your whole week. Kadenza's calendar holds LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube together, and nothing goes out unless it's on it.
