The best tools for LinkedIn personal branding in 2026, compared fairly
The best tool for LinkedIn personal branding depends on the job you need done, because each of the seven tools here is built for a different one. For AI help writing LinkedIn posts, look at Taplio, Supergrow or Kleo, for a close read on your own LinkedIn numbers look at AuthoredUp, for posting to lots of networks on a small bill look at Metricool or Buffer, and if you want to see what's working for the people ahead of you on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube and turn that attention into leads, that's what Kadenza is for.
We make Kadenza, so read this knowing that. We've tried to be fair anyway, so every tool gets the same treatment, which is what it's best for, who should pick it and what it costs to start. Every price and feature for the other six comes from that company's own website, checked on September 24, 2026, and prices change, so check again before you buy. There are no scores or rankings here, because the right pick really does depend on you.
Taplio, Supergrow and Kleo, if writing on LinkedIn is the hard part
Taplio is built around LinkedIn. It writes posts in your voice from a library of several million LinkedIn posts, makes carousels, schedules them and shows how your posts did next to a benchmark. It's best for building a list of new contacts on LinkedIn, since you can pull everyone who liked or commented on a post, or a Sales Navigator search, into contact lists, look through a database of more than three million LinkedIn contacts and send those lists on to your CRM. Pick it if LinkedIn is the only place you post, building a contact list there is the main job, and you'd rather start on a smaller bill. Taplio's own pricing post lists plans from $39 a month, or $32 a month if you pay for the year (checked September 24, 2026). The full side by side is in Kadenza compared with Taplio.
Supergrow is a LinkedIn writing and scheduling tool that learns how you write. It's best for people who think better out loud, because its Postcast feature lets you talk an idea through and turns that chat into written posts, and it can also turn your YouTube videos, articles and PDFs into LinkedIn posts. Pick it if you only post on LinkedIn, the blank page is the hard part, and price matters more to you than anything else right now. It starts at $19 a month, or $16 a month if you pay for the year (checked September 24, 2026). More in Kadenza compared with Supergrow.
Kleo is an AI writing app for LinkedIn that also makes a graphic to go with each post. It's best for people who want other people around their writing, because weekly live group coaching and a private creator community come with the paid plan, along with more than two hundred hook templates and over a hundred and sixty post templates. Pick it if you want coaching as much as you want software and LinkedIn is where you post. It's $99 a month, or $999 a year (checked September 24, 2026). More in Kadenza compared with Kleo.
AuthoredUp, if you write your own posts and want the numbers
AuthoredUp is a LinkedIn tool for people who write their own posts, with an editor, a library of hooks and call to action templates, a readability check and a calendar that posts straight to LinkedIn. It's best for a close read on your own numbers, since it tracks saves, sends and profile views, breaks down every post, draws a word cloud of your own writing and tracks your goals. It also says plainly that your data is kept in the EU under GDPR. Pick it if LinkedIn is your only platform, you like writing your own posts, and what you want most is a clear read on how each one did. A solo plan starts at $19.95 a month, or $16.63 a month billed yearly (checked September 24, 2026). More in Kadenza compared with AuthoredUp.
Metricool and Buffer, if you post to lots of networks
Metricool is a social media manager for eleven networks at once, from Instagram and TikTok to Pinterest and Google Business Profile, with LinkedIn among them. It's best for people looking after several brands, because it puts a content calendar, exportable reports, one inbox for comments and messages, and tracking of other accounts on several networks in one place, and its Claude connector comes with every plan, the free one included. Pick it if you run several brands or post to lots of networks, and starting free matters to you. There's a free plan, and paid plans start at $20 a month (checked September 24, 2026). More in Kadenza compared with Metricool.
Buffer is the well known, simple way to schedule posts, and it covers twelve networks, the widest reach of any tool here, including Substack, Mastodon and Bluesky. It's best for getting posts out on time for very little money, and it connects to Claude, ChatGPT and a long list of other AI apps for free on every plan. Pick it if you mostly need posts to go out on time across a lot of networks, you already know what to write, and you want to spend as little as you can. There's a real free plan, and paid plans start at $5 a month per channel (checked September 24, 2026). More in Kadenza compared with Buffer.
Kadenza, if you want research and leads on three platforms
Kadenza is a personal branding app for LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube. It's best for seeing what's working in your own space, because you name the people ahead of you and it shows you which of their posts beat their own usual, and for turning attention into leads, since your guides put the name and email of everyone who wants one into the email tool you already use. It also connects to your own Claude or ChatGPT, so you can ask what to post and get the post or the script back, written from what's already working. Pick it if you post on more than one of those three platforms, you want your ideas and your leads next to your calendar, and you're happy to use your own AI for the writing.
Here's where the others win. Every other tool on this list costs less to start on a monthly bill, and the LinkedIn tools go deeper on LinkedIn itself, like Taplio's contact lists and AuthoredUp's post by post numbers. Kadenza is $117 a month, or $840 a year at the founding price (as of September 25, 2026), and it's all laid out in the pricing section.
How to choose
Start with the one thing you need most, and let that decide it.
If writing is the hard part, try Supergrow for talking your posts out, Kleo if you want coaching with it, or Taplio if you also want to build a contact list. Our guide on using AI to write content that sounds like you helps whichever one you pick.
If you already write well and want to know what's landing, AuthoredUp gives you the closest read on your own LinkedIn posts. If you look after lots of accounts or networks, Metricool or Buffer will cover the most ground for the least money.
If you want to work from your own AI, Taplio, Supergrow on its Pro plan, Metricool, Buffer and Kadenza all connect to Claude today, so the real difference is what your AI can see once it's connected. There's more on that in how to connect your own AI to your content.
If you're on more than one of LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube, you want to see what's working for the people ahead of you, and you want the people who raise their hand to end up on a list, that's where Kadenza fits. Read one platform or all three first, because most people should start on one, and how to turn LinkedIn comments into leads if leads are the goal.
Whichever you choose, showing up every week matters more than the tool, so pick the one you'll actually open. Every side by side we've written is on our comparisons page.
