Comparison
Kadenza compared with Buffer
Prices and features checked on September 24, 2026.
Where Buffer wins
Buffer has a real free plan, paid plans from $5 a month per channel, and the widest reach of any tool we compared, with twelve networks including Substack, Mastodon and Bluesky. Its MCP server is free on every plan and works with Claude, ChatGPT and a long list of other AI apps.
Pick that instead if You mostly need posts to go out on time across a lot of networks, you already know what to write, and you want to spend as little as you can.
Buffer is the well known way to schedule posts. You queue ideas and posts across your channels, reply to comments from one inbox and check how things did, and there's a link in bio page, a Chrome extension and mobile apps.
Where it's strong
It's simple and it's cheap, and for a lot of people that's the whole brief. Teams get approvals and permissions, it connects to Canva, Google Drive and Zapier, and its AI assistant helps you brainstorm and rewrite a post for each network.
Where Kadenza fits
Kadenza spends most of its effort on either side of the post. Before you write, it shows you which posts from the people ahead of you on LinkedIn, Instagram and YouTube beat their own usual, and after you post, your guides turn the people who want them into names and emails in the tool you already use.
The honest trade
If scheduling is the only thing you're missing, Buffer is the cheaper answer. Kadenza is $117 a month or $840 a year, and it's for when you also want the research and the leads in the same place. There's more on this in Kadenza compared with a scheduling tool, and the prices are in the pricing section.
